Domestic wastewater pollutes rivers and harms aquatic life and people. This study explored an unusual pairing — a magnetic field and Moringa oleifera seed powder — to treat domestic wastewater from a university hostel, testing each method alone and in combination.
Published in the open-access Journal of Applied Sciences and Environmental Management, the team passed wastewater through a 100 mT magnetic field and dosed it with 100, 150 and 200 mg/L of moringa seed powder, then measured physical, chemical and bacteriological properties.
