Moringa Seed Oil Against Malaria: A Histopathological Study

With drug-resistant malaria on the rise, natural treatment options are being explored. This study assessed Moringa oleifera seed oil as a bio-natural treatment in mice infected with the malaria parasite Plasmodium berghei, focusing on its effects on tissues (histopathology).

Thirty-five mice were divided into five groups: an untreated control, a chloroquine-treated positive control (10 mg/kg), and three groups treated with moringa seed oil at 800, 400 and 200 mg/kg by oral administration.

What the study examined

Why it matters for MORIFA: Adds an anti-malarial dimension to moringa seed oil specifically, broadening the value story for our oil in malaria-endemic markets near MORIFA.

Caveat: an animal study; this is research information, not a medical or anti-malarial treatment claim.
