This study built a low-cost groundwater purifier from indigenous plant materials, following green-technology principles, with Moringa oleifera seed as the main flocculant.
The device paired moringa seed with kernels of Terminalia catappa (used as activated carbon). Groundwater from three communities in Zamboanga City, Philippines, was treated and compared against the Philippine National Standard for Drinking Water (PNSDW).
