Moringa Protein Drink and Testosterone: A Human Trial

2021

Testosterone matters for health, body composition and athletic performance, and tends to fall with metabolic syndrome. Moringa — traditionally used as an aphrodisiac — has shown testosterone-supporting effects, but human data has been scarce. This randomized trial addressed that gap.

In a randomized, repeated-measures design, men took a Moringa oleifera leaf-powder protein drink for four weeks, and the study assessed resting testosterone and related hormones, plus anabolic status during hypertrophy (muscle-building) weight training.

What the study examined

Why it matters for MORIFA: Sports nutrition and men’s health are premium, fast-growing segments. A human trial pairing moringa leaf with a protein drink points directly at the functional-beverage and fitness-supplement market for our leaf powder.

Caveat: a small human trial; this is research information, not medical advice.
