Moringa for Stunting: Nutrigenomic and Molecular Aspects

2021

The WHO estimates 161 million children are stunted worldwide. This review looks at Moringa oleifera leaf powder as a supplement to suppress stunting — and goes a level deeper, into its nutrigenomic and molecular-biology aspects.

Moringa leaf powder is already used in stunting cases (including as breast-milk supplementation), but the molecular mechanisms had not been well reviewed — the gap this paper addresses.

Key points

Why it matters for MORIFA: Combines the high-priority stunting story with cutting-edge nutrigenomics — sophisticated, credible support for moringa leaf powder in the maternal/child-nutrition market central to MORIFA.

Caveat: a literature review; this is research information, not medical advice.
