For households without access to treated water, the cost of conventional purification is often prohibitive. This study proposed a simple, stand-alone system that combines two locally available materials — Moringa oleifera seed powder and copper — to make river water safe to drink.
The idea pairs two mechanisms: moringa seed proteins act as a natural coagulant that clears suspended particles, while copper provides oligodynamic action that destroys bacteria.
